Why P.I.P.E.?

P.I.P.E. was formed at a point in time where changes in collective bargaining law began to permit labor and management to cooperate on issues of mutual concern beyond the realm of collective bargaining.  Since its founding, P.I.P.E. has been a forum for discussion of many important issues, as well as a problem-solving laboratory for the entire mechanical/HVACR industry.

P.I.P.E.’s services relieve labor and management of many administrative and record-keeping burdens.  P.I.P.E. maintains liaison with public agencies, other labor organizations and management associations, representing its member locals and contractors on political issues and economic matters so that the individual members can be free to do what they do best: construct, maintain and service mechanical installations.
