The piping industry exists to carry
liquid and gas materials from one place to another
for use, storage or disposal. These materials
are vital to life and health, and the methods
used in construction and maintenance of these
systems are governed by laws, which are either
based in or specifically refer to particular
nationally accepted codes and standards. Without
these standards the health and safety of entire
communities would be in jeopardy. Codes require
consistency and sound methods of installation;
they form the governing statutes of the construction
world.
PIPE participates in every code and standards
organization, and in every association which
could affect standards in the piping industry.
These standards maintain public safety, the quality
of work and the integrity of the industry as
a whole. We do not merely sign on, but take an
active role on committees and in conferences;
our goal is to monitor and shape the installation
practices, tools and methods governed by these
codes and standards.
Please check this section in the future for updates
on key issues and developments in codes and standards.
